My Times

I've been reading the Independent newspaper for years. It's my favourite paper. The best bits are the stories from Nature, the weekly science newsletter. Now they're on the web.
They publish on Thursdays, and you need to have a username and password. I assume it covers their copyright obligation having us sign in? Anyway, it's free! You can't beat that!

Although I never went to Montserrat, many of my friends did.
Sir George Martin owned and operated Air Studios Montserrat and Stuart Breed and Steve Churchyard worked there. The studio closed after the last great Hurricane and the Neve console is now in studio A at A & M Studios in Hollywood.

The situation today on the island is very dire, as the Soufriere Hills Volcano has been erupting for months, and most of the people have been evacuated.
Those that have stayed are in need of assistance from Britain and the world community.
Here is a link to keep up to date with developments on the island.

It occurred to me that Duran's new album Medazzaland is their first without me since Big Thing.
I want it to be a great success for them. I learned a lot about music and making records with them.
Of course I miss working with them! But I had to get out of the living room...

I've continued to work on songs for Celine despite the chances of her singing one being slim. It's coming out next month and I hear it's a great record with lot's of guests. But you never know.
I've been having other people sing my songs to see where else they can go. It's a great experience, and much easier to fine tune them. I'll be starting a page soon, where you can listen to songs that are available for covering. Stay tuned...

Here is an interesting site for couch potatoes.
The Los Angeles River Tour.

The Ryder Cup was great! The broadcasters got it all wrong again. The second day Europe had a lot of putts go in, and the USA beat them in the singles matches hands down.
Were the commentators watching the same pictures we were?
