My Times

The results of last months Contest;

Paul O'Neill guessed where the picture was taken. A CD is on it's way Paul.
All the captions were terrible. Here is an example of a lame excuse from Tony Vanderok - "Sensational photo of Warren Beatty's hand - Plastic surgery gone wrong!!"

The machine I use to make CD's is called an HHB CDR800. I've replaced my DAT machine with it. I feel a lot safer when I'm mixing, knowing I'm recording permanently. I've never had many DAT tapes mess up, but as the years go by I'm sure a lot more will...

Again we've lost special artists to the other side. Carl Wilson and Falco passed on last week.
Carl was the guitarist in the Beach Boys and had been fighting cancer.
Falco who brought us Rock Me Amadeus among other songs, was on holiday in the Dominican Republic when he was involved in a Sport Utility crash.
They were both brilliant and will be sorely missed...

Music articles of Special Interest for this week:

There's so much misinformation flying around about the UN Inspectors in Iraq that reading the UN Daily News makes you think the newspapers and TV are talking about another country.
Regular UNSCOM site inspections have gone on while the press only reports the requests for new inspections of public buildings that the Iraqis say goes too far.
There is an issue regarding Iraq proving that the weapons that they say were destroyed, have been destroyed. The Security Council intends to use this against them indefinately, or so Saddam assumes.
While the US and Britain attempt to escalate the tensions, the price of oil is at it's lowest in years. Do you smell an oily rat?
Remember that Iraq is potentially the richest country in the region. If they were producing oil without interference from the UN, the price would hit rock bottom. And that's not good for business...
