My Times

A wonderful time was had by all at the Songwriters Association of Canada's Bluebird North showcase at the Big Bop in Toronto a few weeks ago.
The highlights of the night were a fantastic performance by Dalbello, and my inability to remember the words to Kill Me!

The wheels are finally in motion for my first video.
I guess it'll be sometime in July before I have a clip for you.
If you have the Quicktime plug-in, here's a Song from my album.

I finished a musical score for a short festival film by Larry Lipton called Lucky today. The music is in the style of Pink Floyd, with big organ pads and wailing guitar. Great fun!

Speaking of lucky, many years have passed since I last saw Steven Leckie!
In fact, the last time was on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto.
It was the middle of winter and we were on a student chemistry department field trip.
We were walking in the middle of the street.
I still can't remember how many of us were naked!
I think Steven got arrested.
A few years later he started the Viletones.
I hope it wasn't our fault!

"The twentieth century has been characterised by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy."
