Emily Richards

My Times

I started pre-production with singer/songwriter Emily Richards a couple of weeks ago. The first song, "Starbuck", has begun to take shape and is sounding very promising.
Emily is a brilliant singer, songwriter and piano player. Her songs and style have a great maturity of melody and lyric. Allthough it's unfair to pidgeon hole an artist, she does fit well in the CD player next to Sinead or Sarah or Tori or even Kate.
Emily's piano/voice song demos and loads of flattery and pictures of the 2 of us working on Starbuck are available over at her web site

Pre-Production is the very first step in making a record. Maybe it's the most important step.
Aside from choosing which songs to record, a plan is developed to allow the maximum amount of creative ideas to be explored during the ongoing recording process.

It's been a couple of years since I mentioned the imusic web site.
If you're interested in finding out about an artist or group, you simply enter their name and imusic will deliver the goods in a very neat way.
Try it, you'll like it!

Here's Duran Duran on imusic.

I probably don't have to say very much to regular readers of this page about the latest FAA notice concerning the possibility of electrical sparks in Boeing 737 aircraft fuel tanks, leading to accidents like Flight 800 a couple of years ago.
The FAA notice was also directed at 747 and 767 airplanes but the press, for some reason, has decided to focus only on the 737.
And why is the FAA taking such a very long time to order the long overdue list of the NTSB's other recomendations for Boeing 747's?
The subject continues to frighten me...the way the politicians are handling it, I mean...

"If we are to address this problem of world hunger--and who else is responsible for it except those of us living here?--we need to affect a massive shift in where we feed the foods of our fields. Instead of feeding grain to livestock, we could feed the world by feeding the grain direct to people"
