Rational Youth...

My Times

Well it all can't be good news!
The Turning Me Inside Out music video needs altering before you will be seeing it on TV. Apparently we went a bit too far with the "digital electronica" in the first edit.
We hope to have a new edit this week that relies more on the film sequences and less on the undesirable "digital" elements that seem more at home in a Beck video...
Who said producing music video's was going to be easy?

My record label in Canada, Iron Music, are back on line with an updated web site...

I'm in the midst of installing a Pro Tools Mix Plus system in my studio this week.
I'm mixing, re-mixing, overdubbing and recording with Walter Turbitt on remixes for my album as well as other projects which include new tracks for Emily Richards next release in June.
I hope to have a portable recording studio running on a G3 Powerbook later in the summer...
If you're interested in that kind of thing have a look at this web page with Mobile Recording links and the article about Eli Janney - read it here from a couple of weeks ago's news page...

They say that Tom Petty is going digital!
Today you can see Steve Ferrone and the band live on the web...other days they have clips and links to buy the new album.
So the Internet really is just a big store...

I've known Larry Gowan for years. We're talking about working on some tracks together. I hope we do. He's a very talented musician and a great performer...

Have you downloaded the mp3 files of Turning Me Inside Out and Too Bloody Much yet?

What can I say about the Masters?
The Norman Olazabal battle was incredible and that chip by Davis Love might be one of the best I've ever seen.
If only we could get rid of CBS as the broadcaster, we might get to see some of the other players in the tournament!

The official Masters site has the score cards and statistics for all the entrants...

The Formula One race from Brazil was quite excellent. The different strategies for pit stops and tire choices made a few of the teams look pretty stupid.
I don't think any one believed that the Stewart was really leading the race. At least I didn't.
If Hill had not crashed out he would have been beaten by Frentzen because Damon was on the wrong tires and a 2 stop strategy.
I still think the Jordans are going to surprise us this year. And from the lap times Alesi was doing, the Sauber should also be on the pace when the teams get to Imola...

" Many people have asked me angrily why it is that Zaphod Beeblebrox instantly greets Ford as Ford when I had stated quite clearly that he had only changed his name to Ford Prefect when he came to Earth. It was very simple. Just before arriving he registered his new name officially at the Galactic Nomenclaturoid Office, where they had the technology to unpick his old name from the fabric of space/time and thread the new one in its place, so that to all intents and purposes his name had always been and would always be Ford Prefect. I included a footnote explaining this in the first Hitch-Hiker book, but it was cut because it was so dull. ."
