My Times

About a week ago I uploaded Let the Bombs Fall in Quicktime and RealAudio format on the entrance page to this site. Thanks everyone for your kind words about the song. It was a very emotional time back then, just like it is now in Yugoslavia...

This week I put another old demo on the site as the Song of the Week.... - I know I should have called it the Song of the 2 Weeks...

The new song is Beat the Same Heart and was written the night of the 1st OJ Simpson verdict. It has nothing to do with Simpson. So many people got upset over the trial after the verdict that it made me write a song.
It's about being a human first and not a race or an ethnic group or a gender or a persuasion or anything else different about all of us that we are so preoccupied with in our societies.

My experience's so far with the Pro Tools 24 Mix system that recently arrived in my studio are one hundred percent positive. I can't believe how great 24 bit audio sounds and how well the software works in making recording and mixing and editing and mastering and copying easier than it has ever been in the past.
All this great functionality and performance is making me hungry to make music and I'm looking forward to finishing many more productions this year...

Speaking of digital recording with computers...here is an opinion about new technology from Brian Eno, who is unable to find anyone in London who knows his computer well enough to record a few broken instruments and an Echoplex as well as Brian can on his Nagra.

In case anyone was excited by Depleted Uranium a few weeks ago, you might be interested in visiting Jane's Defence for the latest solutions to creating Peace in the world.

If you're sick of the networks telling you what's going on in Kosovo then visit Zmag's Kosovo articles and Paul Watson's Dispatch from the LA Times and don't forget Janes Kosovo Special Report.
Zmag has links to all the news not just Nato and Yugoslavian Press Releases and Watson is in Kosovo and has been writing dispatches throughout the war.

I wish they would stop killing each other and sit down and talk about Peace!
