Politics

We watched a movie from the video store about the plight of the people from the Western Government backed Burmese dictatorship.
These people are just one of many countries residents who are living in squalid conditions in refugee camps, crying for our help.
Here is a report I found on the Web.
Other links to read about these terrible events in our world, can be found at Amnesty International and the Red Cross sites.

It's very depressing to think that most of what is happening, is being done in order to facilitate our demand for natural resources and food. A powerful country like the USA can easily stop the vast majority of this waste, by discontinuing the use of the Military Industrial complex to clear the decks for some enormously rich multi-nationals to pillage the spoils of other peoples sufferring.

I'm ready for some "hackers" tournament play!
