One Moment In Time - Japanese Version

My Times

After quite a few weeks of not being able to write much about anything...this week I have added the new Japanese version of my One Moment in Time album - which was released at the end of September - to the site.

The Album features 4 new songs; I'll Be There, Lost Without You, Sarah and Hide Your Love Away.

I'll Be There, which was the first single from the album in Japan and is featured in the lastest Kirin Beer commercial, was written and Produced by Michael Becker and recorded at Michael's studio this past spring....I did most of the vocal at home.

Hide Your Love Away was a demo of a Beatle song I recorded during Christmas 1994 in Hollywood.

Lost Without You has been heard before but I don't think Sarah has ever made the listening pages...

The full version of the State of Mind Video is finally available on Launch.com

I've been meaning to do it for a long time...and it took ages to do...but new pages called Quotes - from all the News pages since 1995 - and Gallery - with loads of pictures and animations etc. - have now joined the site.

Yesterdays speculation has become todays fact.

"Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past"

George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four, a Novel. London: Secker & Warburg, 1949

The media are acting like the marketing department for the Department of State.
Patriotism above truth.
Good versus evil.
The House and the Senate are performing like the Politburo in full non partisan unity.
The corporate vultures are feasting at the public trough.

Do we just have to acccept that we can't find out the truth about Terrorism or provide the type of expensive security we will be needing in our changed new world without taking away our civil rights in so doing it?

So far President Bush has signed a number of documents, the latest being the creation of Wartime Military Courts to try Terrorists. Not just the Devils who attacked New York & Washington but anyone that President Bush, personally, and only he, deems to be a Terrorist. These courts can convene anywhere on the planet and are totally secret.
We do not get to hear the charges and we do not get to hear the evidence. Neither do the accused. What kind of justice is this?

By the way, any non citizen of the United States can be secretly convicted without anyone finding out about it. In fact 1200 odd people have been jailed since 911 and most of them are not allowed to communicate with their lawyer or even their families, and that's under current Constitutionally accepted laws!

How can we be setting a good example to the rest of the world about our great democracy and our undying faith in our laws when this secret Presidential Military Court flagrantly ignores the very foundation of our Constitution?

"Misadvised by a frustrated and panic-stricken attorney general, a president of the United States has just assumed what amounts to dictatorial power to jail or execute aliens. . . . We are letting George W. Bush get away with the replacement of the American rule of law with military kangaroo courts. . . . In an Orwellian twist, Bush's order calls this Soviet-style abomination 'a full and fair trial.'
