My Times

This week's song is Piece Of My Heart. (takes a day to appear on the mp3 page...)

It's a demo from 1993 and, surprise surprise, it's another love song!
I'm playing and singing all the parts.

It was recorded in East Sussex on 16 track 1/2".
The MIDI recorder was Notator on an Atari 1040 ST.

The first 3 tracks from the James Albin Band project, that I produced, are now available for your listening pleasure on MP3.com;

James Albin Band on MP3.

I recorded and mixed the tracks in my studio on an Apple Mac running native software (Logic Audio and Pro Tools LE).

The drums were recorded in Royaltone studio and engineered by Stuart Breed.

James is singing and playing acoustic guitar along with me, myself and I on Bass and Keys; Sean Halley on Electric Guitars; Steve Ferrone on Drums ; Richard Martinez on Percussion.

We've finished half an album and we would like to finish the other half soon!

I came across this interesting and very well written essay comparing Germany to the USA.

Comparison Germany-USA

.

"We just went into a room in Warren's house," says Taylor, "and sat around and jammed. Which is what we would have done when we were teen-agers. No roadies, no press agents, nobody hanging around. Just the four of us. And it made for a lot more honesty. We were able to get closer to what we wanted to say."
