My Times

This weeks Song of the Week is In My Heart.
The song later became It Always Feels the Same on the Alan Frew album Hold On
This original demo was recorded in Hammerwood during the Wedding Album sessions.
The tape machine was a B16 16 track and it was mixed to a Panasonic DAT.
The Real Audio file was made in Pro Tools...

I was trying to write a song for George Michael...

Are you bothered by the obscene number of "Sport Utility" vehicles on the road? Have you noticed how much harder it is to turn left when one of them blocks your vision or when you try to see around a corner?
It bugs me every time I drive my car!

Why is it okay for them to obstruct our vision as well as guzzle gas and pollute twice as much as a regular car? Because they are trucks not cars!
The really sickening part is that the people in the 60's and 70's who cared so much about the environment are the very same plonkers that buy a new and bigger truck every year!!
And these people drive them thinking they are indestructible!
Maybe if they were trained to drive vehicle's over 4000 pounds it might be a bit safer...but the amount of energy they burn just to go to the market, added to the thousands of gallons of un-recyclable water and other industrial damage done during manufacturing makes them clearly unacceptable transport for anyone with even half a conscience...

" When I watch TV and see those poor, starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean, I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all the flies and death and stuff." ."
