My Times

This week I had a major crash on my computer! It took me 4 days to get back to normal, and I had everything backed up in duplicate.
I wish there was a program you could run that just did the whole thing for you! I hated every moment of it!

Once I got everthing working again I spent some time looking at the Virtual Tourist web site.
It allows you to click on a map and find Internet servers anywhere in the world.
I found it very interesting to look for a place I've been or am going too, and then see what servers are in that area.
If you don't know, a server is the computer that all of these web sites are on!
Look up your home town, and see what computers are working overtime!
You might want to find a house to rent or some other service when you get their!

All you motor racing fans will be pleased to find the Jacques Villeneuve site, as well as the Vollansport site.
It's seems that every week there is more information for the fan!

Some of you have been unable to get the latest earthquake data from the various sources on my Sausages page.
For you then, the latestLos Angeles report!

My favourite site at the moment is the links to Newspapers past and present, from around the world.
Especially good if you'd like to read something in a language other than english!

Music

The final song list for my album is nearing completion! I expect to be putting my little band together over the next 2 weeks. I'm hoping to play at a few clubs around Los Angeles in late October to tune up the songs and performances.

I'll be in London in early November meeting about the next project.
The Dan Hill album will be finished in November for a January 1st release!

Has anybody heard the new Fleetwood Mac yet?
I'd love to know what you think!

It's looking less likely that I'll be doing anything with Duran Duran this year. Nick is working very hard with Warren and Simon in London at the moment. Maybe next year when the record is nearing completion, I will get a "look see"!

Golf

I played in a CGA tournament at Braemar Golf Club with the Cal Pac organisation. This was a fantastic competition with the greatest bunch of guys I've ever had the pleasure to play with!
I was invited be Jack Andrews who is a very well known sound engineer who in the past recorded Janis Joplin and Harry Nilsson and too many others to mention.
I was very lucky on the day and I won two nearest to the Pins and one skin as well! My short irons were really excellent! I also made a few brilliant puts! Maybe I'll keep playing this game after all!
