My Times

The New Year brings a new version of Netscape that actually works! Version 2 b4 is available at their homepage.
Of course there are still no decent plug-ins for us Macintosh second class citizens!

I'm still waiting for Java... as well!

The Xing Technology Corporation has a new "helper" application for real time audio called StreamWorks(tm)
It seems to work better than RealAudio.

The Sausages pages continue to be updated. This months Site of the Week is Shareware.
More proof that the Internet is a happy hunting ground for those of us who like our "pickins" fresh!

Number two in the Useless Information pages!

Today we finally finished the Mastering for my share of the Dan Hill album. The ever brilliant Stephen Marcussen was at the controls at his studio Precision. The first single is on its way to the assorted pressing plants!
Look out for Wrapped Around Your Finger sometime in February!

The Celine Dion Album will be out shortly.
Rick Nowels, who wrote and produced a song with Billy Steinberg also for Celines album, performed the song himself at the Troubador in West Hollywood this week. The event was something to do with EMI Publishing, and was called writers in the round and featured 5 EMI money earners. Rick won the award from our side of the room for keeping his songs under 3 minutes!

I had a great surprise on Christmas day when I heard noises outside the house as we were just about to eat dinner. I went outside to have a look, only to find Alanis with her parents and her brother. She came by to show them the house and the view she enjoyed when she stayed here back in 1994!
What a fantastic time she has had since then!

On New Years eve we were invited to spend the evening with Rick Stevens of The Record Plant and the beautiful Gabriel.
It turned into a wonderful night when Micky Dolenz at the next table with his daughter Ami joined us, and ended up as the Grammy table of the Year when Don Was, Bob Clearmountain and Ed Churney arrived just in time for our after dinner cigar smoke!

Politics

I'm very sad to read the news of Francois Mitterrands death. The former President was the longest serving head of State in modern French history.
Some are calling him the most important Frenchman of this century.
There is no doubt he was a great statesman, and his class and character will be deeply missed.

Golf

I have been looking for a Mac program to show me what a lousy golfer I really am!
I found it!
GolfMeister is a wonderful little program that keeps track of all those lovely statistics that I love to drive myself crazy with!.
