Yesterday and Today...

My Times

This week's song is a live (plus a few overdubs) performance of Oh No recorded in 1980 at ESP Studios featuring the Burger Heads; Frank Watt on Drums; Ken Wannamaker on Bass; Dave Kennedy on Guitar; Dee Long on Slide Guitar and yours truly on piano, B3 and vocals along with David Darch, Fred Coutts and Charlie in full support...

I wrote the song the night John Lennon was killed.

That night I woke up in the early hours after a useless sleep and recorded a live version with piano and vocal. A few weeks later the studio "house band" put it down and this is the result.
The live lead vocal is a bit out to lunch...we never did finish recording it!

For some reason I thought John was channeling through me that night...

Things are still going strong with the James Albin album.
We're well into Keyboard overdubs and we are tentatively booked for the drum sessions with Steve Ferrone at the end of the month.

The Emily Richards album Folded Wings, dedicated to her sister Annie, has reached #2 on the Dam CD Pop sales charts at MP3.com.
The proceeds are going to Recording Artists, Actors & Athletes Against Drunk Driving

Today is the launch of the official The Beatles web site. It coincides with the release of the singles album 1.
The site is a bit of a let down!

Another great place to read about what's going on in this world is - The Albion Monitor.
