The Homeless Charity Concert in Toronto is coming together for the 16th of December at the Montreal Bistro. In addition to the people mentioned in last weeks news, Alan Frew, Sam Reid and Larry Gowan have agreed to join the show.
We hope to have the full list of performers and some idea of the raffle and silent auction goodies by the next news page.
We've decided that the money raised will be split between the Salvation Army and Covenant House in Toronto. Sally Ann has been helping people off the street for years and Covenant House is Canada's largest Youth Shelter.
I know we can't change the world in one night, but we can really help people who have nowhere else to go!
It's fantastic that these artists are making the effort to come together for such a good cause. It's estimated that there are 100,000 homeless people around the country who are all in danger this winter.
My greatest hope is that we don't have to make it a regular event...
I worked with Dan Hill last weekend on a remake of his Sammy Kershaw Hit Love of My Life.
The new version is tailored towards the R & B market and may yet be released by Dan...
Last week I saw Neil Finn in concert. He really has written some beautiful songs with Split Enz and Crowded House.
He plays the guitar and the piano and sings out of his socks on this solo tour.
Look out for him playing in your town. He's great! A real craftsman.
We're starting pre-production on the Turning Me Inside Out video.
Neil Grieve is going to Direct with Jens Sturup handling the Photography.
It's going to have a lot of Blue Screen moments and we promise to make it fun.
Completing this weeks Toronto theme, this link to most of the Cameras on the 401 can be incredibly useless!
On the other hand, this page of links to loads of Web Cameras around North America is a bit more entertaining. Don't forget to see what's happening at Oxford Circus...
I've been asked to let you know about an invention that could solve our pollution problems while supplying our energy needs.
Is this for real? - Car runs on water
"If you're one to have had a jones for pop songcraft, but recoil at elements of nostalgia niche marketing, this debut solo release from public cypher but celebrated industry jack-of-all-trades may be just the CD you've sought."
