Over the years John has made an everlasting musical statement through his writing, playing and philosophy. His decision to form the Power Station in the 1980's, could have been an early message from his primal self to break free. Or maybe it was an excuse to play those bass lines!
It's possible that the speed with which DD albums are made, was just not enough to satisfy his need for creative growth? I don't know. I just hope that things work out for all of them.
Lots of success John! Cheers!
February 31 is the deadline for my album. I'm hoping to get the video done for the first single before the Grammy's. Where will I find the time to write some more songs?
"If a reward - money, awards, praise, or winning a contest - comes to be seen as the reason one is engaging in an activity, that activity will be viewed as less enjoyable in its own right. With the exception of some behaviorists who doubt the very existence of intrinsic motivation, these conclusions are now widely accepted among psychologists."
