Hello 2021!

February 3rd, 2021 § Comments Off on Hello 2021! § permalink

This site has been mostly offline since 2019. I started posting news in 1995. This is my first News page from more than 25 years ago!
The old News Index

Once I switched to WordPress in 2010 my output slowly petered out.
This was my first post from January 2010.

Today I am going to head back to a “write your own” website that was always so much fun to play with!

I’ll be updating the Music Production and Singer Songwriter pages with all of the projects I have been working on and with news of friends that have helped us along the way!

Strangely, I’ve neglected to share my Soundcloud page – which is so much fun uploading song demos and other unreleased ditties. Songs are added and removed almost daily.

Another new place for me is over there on IGTV. This is a live version of Eleanor Rigby recorded summer 2020. Click the icon to turn the audio on.

Flightdeck’s Flying Simulators

Toys for big boys were in abundance when we recently visitedĀ Flightdeck in Newmarket.

These machines are used in conjunction with Computer Flight simulator software to train pilots and to enhance the homes of wealthly enthusiasts around the globe. I must admit, I never thought that people would want the cockpit of a 747 in their living room, but apparently they do!

John, Peter and Sam and the gigantic 777 cockpit!

The big machines are $150,000 and up, but Flightdeck also make the beautiful Jetmax, at $15,000, that I would definitely have in my house!

Marc Newson. Works

We were fortunate to be the guests of Nick Wood last night at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills for a cocktail reception for superhuman (and) designer Marc Newson CBE.

We were also thrilled to meet Sir Jonathon Ive of Apple Inc, who neglected to tell their own P.R. staff about hisĀ knighthood, who is a huge fan of Marc’s!

Marc Newson spent the last six years documenting his catalogue of unbelievable designs for the encyclopedia De Newson; now available from Taschen!
