Deane Cameron at the Junos

What a blast it was to be in Toronto last night for Deane Cameron’s Special Achievement Juno Award.

Deane was very special to me in my early days in Toronto. He was also very special to almost everyone else too!

Last night EMI Canada hosted a celebration for him at the Masonic Temple on Davenport in downtown Toronto.

Many musical acts on stage at the Masonic.

The highlight acts who played for Deane were Glass Tiger, HelixBuffy Sainte Marie and Serena Ryder. Everyone else was wonderful too!

Other than Deane, if I had to pick any one else who was most important in my early career it would be Frank Davies. And last night he was there with another very important person in many of our lives, Rupert Perry CBE.

What a blast! Congratulations Deane and thanks to Sam Reid for being Sam Reid!
